4 recipes for natural drinks to drink through a straw

Do you know what today is? February 11 is World Straw Drinking Day. And we can’t think of anything better to celebrate it than to give you these 4 recipes for very natural drinks to drink with our wheat or bamboo straws or bamboo.

A perfect juice to sleep like a baby

Now that our activity has been reduced, it is normal for us to have trouble sleeping. Here is a juice recipe for better sleep.

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 6 strawberries

Put the peeled apples in a blender or mixer along with the strawberries and honey. Mix it and take it a while before going to sleep. You’re sure to notice the results!

Fruit, vegetables and a cup with a smoothie

Do you want to give an extra boost to your defenses? Green is your ally

For this drink you will need:

  • 1 pear
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 3 broccoli florets
  • 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 2 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup and a half of water
  • You can also add ice (optional)

And how is it prepared? We promise you’ve never seen a recipe so easy. All you have to do is grind the ingredients well and… There you go!

Chocolate drink

If you are a chocolate lover, you will love this vegan hot chocolate recipe.

All you need is:

  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk (You can also use sweetened milk, but check the taste before adding more sweetener).
  • 2 tablespoons of a natural sweetener
  • 2 teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder****.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

And to prepare it, it’s as simple as that:

Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat until hot, but do not boil.

Remove the milk from the heat and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix them together until everything is well integrated and… ready! You can thicken it with cornstarch.

Serve the chocolate in your
bamboo thermos bottle
to keep it warm for much longer.

And although we know that we still have a lot of winter to get through, the reality is that we can’t wait for the good weather. We’re already thinking of cool smoothie recipes for when the sun comes out!

Water with fruit juice

We already know that you should drink 2 liters of water a day, but if you are one of those people who find it hard… Pay attention! Here’s a trick that will get you hooked.

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of ripe natural pineapple, without peel or stems
  • 24 mint leaves
  • 1 pinch of peeled fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1/2 glass of lemon juice and lemon slices
  • 3 level tablespoons of stevia or honey
  • All the ice you want

And to enjoy this refreshing drink? Very easy:

Put the diced pineapple, mint, ginger, lemon juice and water in a blender. Add the sweetener of your choice and blend until well integrated.

TIP: To grind the mint better, just soak it in water for a while and chop it into small pieces before adding it to the blender.

When you’re done, strain the mixture to remove any remaining fiber from the fruit and…. enjoy!
