FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Absolutely not. The bamboo we use is moso bamboo, a species of giant bamboo from China. Moso bamboo is a fast-growing plant that is not edible by pandas. Pandas do not like the moso bamboo because it is harder and they eat other species.

Our bamboo comes from China, from controlled plantations that are intended to produce bamboo for different applications.

Not only do we want to reduce plastic consumption as much as we can, but we also want to increase oxygen in the air. Bamboo plants produce up to 30% more oxygen than other plants. By planting bamboo you are doing your bit for the planet.

We strongly recommend always planting bamboo seeds in a pot at home or in a controlled environment. You’ll love how fast it grows. Here you can see how to plant them: planting bamboo.

Our brushes are of medium hardness. However, we have several customers with gum sensitivity and they use Brushboo with no problems.

The duration recommended by our dentists is 3-4 months. In fact, we have created subscriptions with which you can order it automatically. From the first purchase, you decide when you want us to send you the next brush, after 3 or 5 months. Much simpler and, moreover, more economical for you.

The bristles of the brushes are made of Nylon 6. This is a material that can degrade in seawater by 80% after 25 days. We are working to develop a plant-based solution. If you are interested in knowing more about the biodegradability of different types of Nylon you can read this scientific study with tests on nylon 6 in a compost environment: paper.

Although the brush handle is 100% biodegradable, a material for the bristles that is completely environmentally friendly has not yet been developed. We therefore suggest separating the bristles from the handle before disposal. Use tweezers to remove the bristles from the brush and dispose of it properly in the yellow container. When removing the bristles you will find a small metal clip that joins the bristles, which should go to the yellow as well. The handle and cardboard box can be reused, recycled or disposed of in a compost garbage can. We leave you the steps and #brushbootips from our blog.

Our Brushboo brush is made of moso bamboo, which is ideal for this type of product due to its antibacterial properties. It then undergoes a high temperature heat treatment to leave the product raw and safe for oral-dental hygiene. You will be delighted with our brushes. They are very cool!
